FORECAST
WARM WEEKEND
Unseasonably warm with afternoon highs near 80°, which is about ten degrees above average, along with a lot of sunshine. Also, plan for a a gusty southeasterly wind on Sunday slowly increasing the humidity. Then Monday will be noticeably muggy, but it won’t last very long.
SMALL CHANCE OF RAIN
Enough humidity will return to the area by Monday morning that patchy drizzle will be possible. After a damp start, Monday afternoon’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and warm, humid conditions.
Early on Tuesday, patchy drizzle returns and a few showers or storms could develop ahead of a a wound up storm system in the mid section of the country. Our window for rain is small, with dry air arriving by the afternoon. That’ll clear skies and cause temperatures to skyrocket into the 80s (some could near 90).
A dryline and cold front will arrive starting Tuesday morning, and more than anything, it’ll make for a very gusty Tuesday with gusts potentially between 40 and 50 mph. Don’t expect much of a change in temperatures.
