BOYS BASKETBALL: Brennan prepares for UIL Class 6A State semifinals
For the first time since 2013, the Brennan boys basketball team will play in the UIL State tournament. Their Class 6A semifinal matchup will pit them against the defending Class 5A State champs Beaumont United, who bumped up one classification during the UIL's realignment.

After some research, Lytle has uncovered that this year's boys squad is the first team since 1924 to qualify for a state tournament. The Pirates will play their first state tournament game in 99 years against Childress Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Alamodome.

Junior Arianna Roberson proved to be nearly unstoppable on Saturday night in the Alamodome, scoring a game-high 24 points to go with 15 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals to lift Clark to their first UIL Class 6A State Championship and earn Tournament MVP honors.
GIRLS BASKETBALL: Clark defeats DeSoto, wins first UIL Class 6A State Championship
Junior Arianna Roberson scored a game-high 24 points and was named Tournament MVP, as the Clark high school girls basketball team defeated DeSoto 42-37 to claim their first UIL Class 6A State title on Saturday night in the Alamodome.
