FORECAST

FREEZING DRIZZLE FRIDAY

Increasing moisture will slowly lower the clouds overnight and lead to intermittent light precipitation Friday and Saturday. Accumulations will be low, but don’t be surprised to find some ice on elevated surfaces. Also, a few sleet pellets (mini ice chunks) could briefly fall at times tomorrow, but not get in the way of your planned activities or travels.

Starting around 6pm Friday, areas of light freezing drizzle could develop and cause a very light glaze on elevated surfaces such as patio furniture, decks, parked cars, street signs, and maybe a few sides streets in the Hill Country. Overall, the impact will be minimal.

ALL LIQUID BY SATURDAY, BUT STILL COLD

‘Warmer’ temperatures on Saturday will turn any precipitation to drizzle and sprinkles with minimal accumulations (less than 0.1″), and any rain will move east of our area by the afternoon. Afternoon highs will only reach the upper 30s, so keep the jacket within reach. Good news is a warm up is expected to happen late on Sunday, with the sun making a reappearance. Temperatures should reach the lower 60s by Sunday afternoon, then jump into the upper 70s early next week with full sun.
