San Antonio official explains process for shutting down businesses due to COVID-19 violations
SAN ANTONIO โ When businesses violate the cityโs Emergency Health Declaration put in place to help slow the spread of COVID-19, they get cited. Huge crowds this past weekend for a two-day Cody Johnson concert have yielded big consequences for Cowboys Dancehall, which hosted the events. Shannon said Cowboys Dancehall has been issued seven citations since the pandemic began. โThere were other violations, other criminal activity violations, that also added up to creating a continued creation of an unsafe environment,โ Shannon said. Once a certificate of occupancy is revoked, the owner must file for a new one in order to open back up.

SAN ANTONIO โ Below is a list of all the citations issued so far in January for violations of San Antonioโs emergency declaration. Bar 301 - A day after being issued three citations, Bar 301, located at 23567 IH-10 W, was issued two more citations. Citations were issued for on-premise consumption and violations of the mask and social distancing guidelines. Two citations were issued โ one for exceeding the maximum capacity and the other for mask and social distancing violations. DSD officials saw that health and safety signage was posted and that employees were wearing masks but that customers were not wearing masks where required.
