Police said the woman crashed a Chrysler 300 into a barrier after trying to avoid a stalled vehicle in the main lanes of the highway.

Two passengers inside the Chrysler — a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man — were both hospitalized with serious bodily injuries after the crash, SAPD said.

After further investigation, police determined that the woman was intoxicated. She was ultimately arrested on two counts of intoxication assault, police said.
