Police: Suspects charged with evading arrest, burglary

SAN ANTONIO – Four teens were arrested early Friday morning after a burglary and leading San Antonio police on a vehicle chase, according to a preliminary report from SAPD.

The incident began at an undisclosed location off Pleasanton Road on the South Side around 1:40 a.m.

While officers responded to the burglarized location, SAPD’s Eagle helicopter located the suspects, who fled in a vehicle.

A chase ensued before the suspects later ditched the vehicle in an alley near a home in the 1200 block of Edison Drive, hiding in its backyard around 2:45 a.m., police said early Friday morning.

The teens were later taken into custody by K-9 officers. All four are being charged with evading in a vehicle/on foot, burglary and one for active warrants, according to the report.

SAPD did not indicate if any of the suspects were armed. Only one, an 18-year-old girl, had their ages released.
