NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A 31-year-old man who was involved in a fatal crash on I-35 South near Engel Road on Thursday morning has been identified, according to New Braunfels Police Department.

The incident happened around 9:15 a.m., as police said they were dispatched for a collision with an 18-wheeler and a pedestrian in the 6000 block of IH-35 S.

When authorities arrived, they found 31-year-old Austin Michael Arp, from of Austin, Texas, dead.

After further investigation, police said it’s still unknown what caused the deadly collision, but no charges are expected to be filed. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.
