FORECAST
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
It’s a foggy and damp start to this Sunday with patchy drizzle pushing across parts of South Central Texas. Some of the fog that’s managed to develop has also been dense in spots, so plan on giving yourself some extra time out the door.
We’ll see conditions improve by late-morning ahead of a weak cool front. Temperatures aim for the mid-60s just ahead of lunchtime, but will then gradually fall through the 50s this afternoon after the front pushes through. Winds will be sustained out of the north-northeast at 5 to 15 miles per hour.
Monday starts off chilly (mid-40s). Overcast skies continue throughout the day with highs cooler-than-average, in the mid-50s. A few isolated showers can’t be ruled out, but coverage should be relatively low.
The cloud cover sticks around for much of this week, but we’ll gradually warm things up with highs closer to 70° by Wednesday.
Rain chances increase into the second half of the week as an upper-level disturbance approaches from the west. Best chances currently reside on Thursday (60%), before the system pushes through and we start to clear things out from west to east throughout the day Friday.
While these numbers will likely need to be fine-tuned and adjusted in the days ahead, it’s currently looking like rainfall totals up to 1 to 2 inches will be possible for parts of our area by the time all is said and done.
We’ll keep you posted. Until then, have a great rest of your weekend!
