FORECAST

DAMP WEDNESDAY MORNING

Showers are expected to develop tonight and be widely separated through noon tomorrow. While the activity is going to be light, some roads will become damp for the morning commute, but sunshine in the afternoon will allow for a dry evening commute. The best odds for rainfall will be between I-10 and I-35.

WARMER THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

A brief warming trend will arrive Thursday through Saturday with afternoon highs in the 60s under full sunshine, however, the mornings will have a seasonable chill. The big drop happens late this weekend and into next week.

COLD FRONT UPDATE

The latest data brings a strong front through late Saturday. Cold air will pour into the area on Sunday, with gusty north winds. The coldest air will be in place by Monday (MLK Jr. Day) and linger for the rest of the week, so plan for jacket weather all day every day next week.

MLK MARCH

Frigid temperatures are forecast for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March. Those planning to attend should prepare for temperatures below freezing.

WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION

While a light wintry mix is possible at this point, it’s not probable yet Monday and Tuesday. As of now, we have a 30% chance of a light wintry mix, but that forecast will be modified - possibly significantly - in the days ahead, so check back for updates.
