FORECAST

Wednesday morning was the coolest San Antonio has been since early April, with an official low temperature of 50 degrees, but it won’t last with big changes tonight.

Humidity will surge in from the Gulf of Mexico overnight, and this should cause drizzle and sprinkles for the morning commute. Then into the afternoon, scattered showers and storms are possible with a small chance of a strong/severe storm. Friday will be very similar.

A wildcard for rain chances Friday is an approaching cool front which could slow down as it arrives. If this scenario plays out, then rain could stick around longer than expected.

The weekend brings a return to sunny and dry conditions. Highs will creep back into the lower 80s by Sunday, and mornings should return to the upper 50s.

Lastly, Hurricane Rafael is in the Gulf of Mexico and likely to move into the Western Gulf by this weekend as it slowly weakens. Exactly where it ends up is very uncertain, but it looks as though a stationary front is likely to keep it away from Texas early next week.
