Three San Antonio police officers were each handed suspensions totaling 30 days this year after fumbling two drunk driving crash investigations in the same night, discipline paperwork released to KSAT Investigates shows.

A deputy arrived at the scene of the crash to help with traffic while a tow truck was loading up the vehicle. The deputy parked off the road about 75 feet behind the tow truck, Salazar said. The married coupleโs daughter and the deputy were in the deputyโs patrol car while the vehicle was being loaded up on the tow truck, Salazar said. The patrol car was sent flying about 75 feet into the tow truck, Salazar said. He said at one point, the patrol car flipped and landed on top of the man and his wife, pinning them underneath.
