A head-on collision between a passenger train and a freight train in Greece has killed dozens of people and injured scores more.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a driver who was killed when his truck hydroplaned and crashed into a pole on Wednesday morning on the Northwest Side.

A man is dead and several others are recovering in the hospital following back-to-back crashes in far North Bexar County, according to sheriff’s deputies.

East Southcross has now become a notorious major thoroughfare on San Antonio’s Southeast Side. SAPD records show there’ve been 59 crashes and one fatality in the past 10 years on that road.

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have responded to more than 1,300 calls for services during the winter storm, according to the city’s winter weather response update. Officers responded to 1,366 vehicle crash calls, city officials said Wednesday night. Police have been working to maintain closures on roads and crash cleanup operations. The city says SAPD worked to clear the highway system of crashed or abandoned vehicles throughout the night Tuesday and into Wednesday morning. SAPD and the Texas Department of Transportation are working together to maintain local ramp closures.
