Fridayโs game canceled between Judson, Smithson Valley due to COVID-19
SAN ANTONIO โ The Big Game in our Big Game Coverage this Friday night between Number 1 ranked Judson vs. Number 3 Smithson Valley has had to be postponed due to COVID-19 and contact tracing at Judson. The cancelation comes days after other high school football programs in the San Antonio area were forced to cancel games for similar reasons. Last week, Harlandale, Veterans Memorial and Southside High School each canceled their game last week due to COVID-19. Find more high school sports coverage on our BGC page.
Harlandale High shuts down football for 3 weeks; Veterans Memorial, Southside games canceled
SAN ANTONIO โ Harlandale High School has shutdown both of its varsity and junior varsity football teams for the next three weeks following a positive coronavirus test, Harlandale Independent School District officials announced Thursday. Additionally, football practices at Harlandale High School cannot resume until Nov. 20. Junior varsity games will be allowed to continue on Nov. 26, and varsity games will resume on Nov. 27, according to the districtโs announcement. Veterans Memorial has also been forced to cancel its next two games. The first game was scheduled for Friday night against Buda Johnson in Buda, and the other was scheduled for next Thursday against Dripping Springs.

SAN ANTONIO โThe Southside High School band is moving to the sound of victory as the We Go Public Cool Schools winner for February! Mike Misko, band director at Southside High School, said he credits the students on all of their hard work for their victory.
