Do not use these bounce castles, e-skateboards, regulators warn after deaths reported
The Consumer Product Safety commission is warning families to stop using certain bounce castles and electric skateboards after five total deaths were reported. Separately, hundreds of thousands of portable generators and strollers were recalled.

Dog Food RecallSAN ANTONIO โ Certain dry pet foods are under recall after the deaths of at least 28 dogs, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Certain lots of Sportmix dog and cat food may contain potentially deadly levels of aflatoxin, the FDA warned. Midwestern Pet Food, Inc. announced the recall of certain dog and cat food, all with expiration dates of March 2 or 3, 2022. โPets are highly susceptible to aflatoxin poisoning because, unlike people who eat a varied diet, pets generally eat the same food continuously over extended periods of time,โ the FDA said. The investigation into the pet food continues.
Fire pit tables, scented candles recalled
From fire pit tables to scented candles, more than 500,00 products intended for home ambience have been recalled for safety reasons. Nearly 11,000 fire pit tables sold at Big Lots stores nationwide this year are recalled after reports of minor property damage and injury. Sunjoy has received reports of a dozen tables igniting, some resulting in damage and burns. In another fire-related recall, Kohlโs is pulling 512,000 scented candles. They are the three-wick Sonoma Goods for Life branded candles sold since December 2019.
Dozens of spices recalled over salmonella concerns
Two companies have recalled various dried spices because they could be contaminated with salmonella. Sauer Brands recalled certain lots of more than two dozen spices by The Spice Hunter, including organic parsley, organic cinnamon, cilantro, black pepper and more. The companyโs supplier had notified them about the presence of salmonella in some of the organic parsley. Red Monkey Foods also recalled certain spices related to salmonella concerns. Nursing pillows could pose suffocation danger, Consumer Product Safety Commission says
SAN ANTONIO โ The Consumer Product Safety Commission is warning parents about the dangers of letting infants sleep on nursing pillows. โDo not allow infants to sleep on nursing pillows or other pillow-like products,โ the agency stated. Peachman reviewed the government database of incidents and said there are at least 28 infant deaths between 2012 and 2018 that are possibly linked to nursing pillows or lounge pads. She said parents must get the message that nursing pillows are not sleep products. Peachman says itโs critical to move children who fall asleep on a nursing pillow or lounge pad to safe space.
Saws, bicycles, sports chairs recalled
Before you tackle the trees and landscaping, check to see if your electric saws have been recalled. More than 200,000 electric saws sold at Loweโs have been recalled for safety reasons. In addition, fabric sports chairs sold at HEB and thousands of bicycles are being pulled from the market. These are 40-volt lithium ion 8-inch pole saws manufactured from January 2017 through February 2019. Folding sports chairs sold at HEB last May are recalled.
Recall Roundup: Recalled peaches linked to nationwide salmonella outbreak
Prima Wawona of Fresno, California, has recalled bagged and individual peaches sold at supermarkets because of a nationwide salmonella outbreak. Initially, the California Peach company recalled bagged peaches sold from June 1 through Aug. 19 that were sold under various brand names, including Wawona, Prima and Organic Marketside. Later, the recall included peaches sold loose or in bulk between June 1 and August 3. The recalled peaches were sold at various supermarkets nationwide, including Walmarts, Sams Clubs and Targets in Texas. -----------------Water Gun RecallHasbro recalled nearly 53,000 Nerf Super Soaker XP 20 and XP Water blasters sold at Target.
Two hand sanitizer brands recalled over methanol concerns
SAN ANTONIO At a time when people are stocking up on hand sanitizer to combat the coronavirus, the FDA announced two brands are being recalled. The second recall is from ITECH 361, which is recalling nearly 19,000 bottles of its All Clean Hand Sanitizer, Moisturizer and Disinfectant, with UPC Code 628055370130. The sanitizer was sold in one liter bottles and was distributed to wholesalers and retailers nationwide. The FDA urges anyone who has been exposed to hand sanitizer containing methanol and is experiencing symptoms to seek immediate treatment.
