Brennan Bears crush Marshall by 84 points; Johnson edges Reagan in thrilling finish

Wednesday was a huge day for high school basketball in the San Antonio area

SAN ANTONIO – Some of San Antonio’s biggest names in high school boys basketball put on a show Wednesday night.

The Brennan Bears, the top-ranked team in UIL Class 6A, showed why they’re ranked as the No. 1 team in Texas with an impressive performance at Northside Sports Gym.

The talented Brennan roster led the Marshall Rams 60-17 at the half. In the second half, the Bears cruised to an 84-point victory, 123-39.

In another matchup at Johnson High School, the Jaguars took on the Reagan Rattlers with a packed house in attendance.

Former Spur and NBA head coach Monty Williams also witnessed two of the best teams in District 27-6A.

The Rattlers were in full control of the 20th-ranked Jaguars with a seven-point first-half lead.

However, Johnson rallied in the second half to win a nail-biter, 48-46.
