Brennan dominates Harlan, Johnson remains unbeaten in district play with win over Clark

The Johnson Jaguars and the Brennan Bears took care of business on Saturday

SAN ANTONIO – Two huge high school boys' basketball games took place Saturday, providing some awesome highlights from some of the best players in the San Antonio area.

The first matchup was a top-25 showdown in District 28-6A between the Brennan Bears and the Harlan Hawks at Northside Sports Gym.

Brennan’s ability to capitalize on turnovers led to a bunch of fast-break points, which led the Bears to a 56-34 lead at halftime.

The Bears kept the pedal to the medal in the second half and eventually defeated Harlan 96-59.

Then, over at Littleton Gym, there was a District 27-6A clash. The Clark Cougars faced off against the Johnson Jaguars, who are undefeated in district competition.

The Jaguars quickly showed why they’re one of the best teams in San Antonio by gaining a 9-0 lead with efficient passing and lockdown defense.

Johnson would go on to remain unbeaten in district games with a 79-44 win.
