SAN ANTONIO – MacArthur High School has hired its new head football coach and athletic coordinator, according to the school.
The school announced the hiring of Jordan Ricker on Tuesday on X, formerly Twitter.

“WELCOME HOME!! Please join us in welcoming home the new AC/HFC of #BrahmaNation & @FootballBrahma - @Coach_Ricker, Brahma Class of 2007,” the post read.
Ricker succeeds Kevin Hirst, the head coach for the Brahmas for the past several years.
In a statement on X, Ricker expressed his excitement about being on the staff at his alma mater.
“I am beyond excited for the opportunity to serve as the athletic coordinator/head football coach at MacArthur High School. As an alumnus, this is a truly special experience,” Ricker said.
Ricker spent the last five years on the coaching staff at Alamo Heights High School.
