SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word believes in head football coach Clint Killough so much that they extended his contract on Tuesday.
Killough, who attended Douglas MacArthur High School, is 20-5 overall in his first two seasons at UIW. He was hired in December 2022 to replace G.J. Kinne, who left for Texas State University.

Killough was named the 2024 Southland Conference Coach of the Year after leading the Cardinals to a conference championship.
In 2023, Killough’s team finished the season No. 14 in the final FCS rankings, according to the American Football Coaches Association Coaches Poll. In 2024, the Cardinals wrapped up the season No. 6, per the AFCA.
Under the former UIW student-athlete, who played three seasons with the football team, the Cardinals have spent 25 straight weeks ranked in the top 25 in national polls.
Killough graduated from UIW in 2015.
