KSAT Q&A: San Antonio mayor discusses sister city agreement with Querétaro, upcoming mayoral election and more

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg appeared on the 6 O’Clock News to discuss the newly announced sister city agreement with Querétaro.

Highlighting the shared connection between the two cities, Nirenberg underscored the importance of such relationships for economic prosperity.

As the mayoral seat opens for the upcoming election, Nirenberg reflected on his initial run eight years ago.

Nirenberg described the current race for San Antonio mayor as “anyone’s ball game” and urged San Antonians to pay close attention to the ballots, which he noted could impact their lives.

With election day coinciding with the city’s Fiesta celebrations, Nirenberg said a prepared campaign could take advantage of the timing. He refrained from endorsing any mayoral candidate at this time.

Additionally, he touched on the city’s preparations for the upcoming men’s Final Four in March.
