ZAVALA COUNTY, Texas – The La Pryor Independent School District has placed its superintendent on paid leave pending an unspecified investigation, according to the district.
The La Pryor ISD board of trustees held a special board meeting on Friday.

During the meeting, the district placed La Pryor superintendent Dr. William Arevalo on paid administrative leave pending “the outcome of an ongoing investigation,” the district said.
The district announced that La Pryor ISD business manager Miriam Castillo will serve as acting superintendent.
The district said this is the only official information available at this time.
