SAN ANTONIO – A Wednesday morning incident near John Jay High School led to two people being taken into custody, according to Northside ISD officials.
The district said the incident occurred outside of the campus in a parking lot.
Two people became disruptive and non-compliant with NISD police and they attempted to run away, according to a statement from Barry Perez, NISD’s executive director of communications.
NISD police caught up with two individuals and placed them in custody. SAPD arrived on the scene to assist, Perez said.
District officials said one of the individuals is a high school student and the other is not.
During the incident, one NISD police officer sustained a minor injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment, Perez said.
All students and staff on campus are safe, the district said.
This is a developing story. KSAT will continue to follow up on it for updates.
