2 men in critical condition after argument leads to stabbing near South Park Mall, SAPD says

Police apprehended suspect after he fled; aggravated assault charges pending

SAN ANTONIO – Two men were taken to the hospital after an argument led to a stabbing in the parking lot of a business on the South Side, according to San Antonio police.

The incident happened in the 2400 block of Southwest Military Drive near South Park Mall just before 5 p.m. Monday.

The two men got into an argument in the parking lot when the suspect, 42, stabbed the victim, 43, in the chest before fleeing on foot, a preliminary report from SAPD on Tuesday said.

Officers searched the area and later apprehended the suspect. Both men were taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

The suspect is expected to be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to the report.
