Suspect arrested in connection with deadly stabbing on South Side, SAPD says

Police described the victim as a ‘significant other’ of the suspect

SAN ANTONIO – A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing on the South Side, according to police.

The incident happened around 5 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Felisa Street.

Officers responded to a welfare check after the suspect claimed to have murdered his significant other, police said.

Upon arrival on the scene, police found an 81-year-old man fatally stabbed, SAPD said.

The 26-year-old man was formerly detained for questioning, according to police. However, upon further investigation, SAPD said he was arrested and booked for murder.

Police said they aren’t sure what led to the deadly incident.
