SAN ANTONIO – A woman was arrested Sunday after she was accused of crashing into and injuring a San Antonio police officer, SAPD said.
The crash happened just after midnight Sunday at the Southeast Side intersection of Rigsby Avenue and Clark Avenue.

According to police, the driver of a Nissan Sentra was seen “driving erratically” when they ignored stop signs and traffic lights.
An SAPD officer saw the suspect vehicle and requested backup before conducting a traffic stop, police said.
While the second SAPD officer was en route, authorities said the Nissan was seen traveling southbound on Clark Avenue and ignored a stop sign.
According to the department’s preliminary report released Sunday morning, the second SAPD officer crashed into the Nissan at the intersection of Rigsby Avenue and Clark Avenue.
That officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery, SAPD said.
The driver of the Nissan, a 19-year-old woman, was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving.
