SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Fire Department battled a large fire at a Southwest Side home on Friday evening.
Firefighters responded to the home just before 10 p.m. in the 5600 block of Seacomber Place.
According to SAFD, firefighters arrived and found a heavy fire at the home. When they arrived, crews said burglar bars and hoarding conditions inside the residence made fighting the flames in the home “untenable.”
Firefighters said they were able to get the fire under control and put it out. No injuries were reported.
An SAFD official said the home suffered “extensive damage.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation, SAFD said.
