SAN ANTONIO – As a cold rain continues to fall across San Antonio, some drivers on the North and South Side are experiencing a slow and damp Thursday afternoon drive home.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, high water has forced the closure of the two far-right lanes of U.S. Highway 281 southbound near Thousand Oaks Drive.

TxDOT said the closure has forced traffic to the left side of the highway.

A second incident along a busy San Antonio interstate is causing heavy delays.

TxDOT said two accidents have been reported along Interstate 35 northbound. The first crash, reported on I-35 near Palo Alto Road, has blocked one of two main lanes.

A third incident, a crash along I-35 near South Zarzamora Street and approximately two miles north of the I-35 and Palo Alto Road crash, has blocked off three of four main lanes.

At this time, no injuries or stalled cars have been reported in any of the three incidents.
