SAPD, Crime Stoppers seek leads in deadly hit-and-run crash on Northeast Side

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are requesting leads from the public in hopes of finding who was responsible for a woman’s hit-and-run death.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. on Nov. 22 in the 400 block of Weidner Road on the Northeast Side.

Christine Ann Russell, 42, was walking in the middle of the road when the driver of a blue Honda Pilot fatally struck her, according to police.

Police said the driver of the Honda Pilot did not stop to help Russell after the collision.

Russell ultimately died from her injuries at a local hospital.
