Authorities ID woman who died in crash, car fire on Loop 410

Police said the crash is still under investigation

A woman is dead after a crash around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday morning on Loop 410 near the Austin Highway exit. (KSAT)

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a woman who died in a fiery car crash on Christmas Eve.

Hannah Meza, 21, died early Tuesday morning near Loop 410 and Austin Highway.

San Antonio police said Meza was traveling on Loop 410 at a high rate of speed when she attempted to take the Austin Highway exit.

She lost control of her vehicle, and the car hit a barrier and a metal rail, police said.

The car then caught on fire, police said.

Meza was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation, police said.
