17-year-old San Antonio girl reunited with her family after disappearance, family says

SAN ANTONIO – A 17-year-old who was reported missing in November has been safely reunited with her family, according to a social media post by her father.

San Antonio police were searching for Sophia Cano, who was last heard from on Nov. 26 in the 600 block of Hillsong, near Stone Oak Parkway and Sweetbrush.

Mark Cano, Sophia’s father, shared his gratitude in a Facebook post on Thursday evening.

"We want to sincerely thank everyone who supported us during this difficult time — your thoughts, prayers, and efforts in spreading the word were a great source of strength for us," Mark Cano said, in part.

Sophia’s father said the family is now focusing on her recovery.
