Man accused in connection with Florida murder arrested in San Antonio, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – A man accused of murder in Kissimmee, Florida, was arrested in San Antonio, according to an SAPD arrest report obtained by KSAT.

Romeo Florez-Perez, 24, was taken into custody on Dec. 6 at a bus stop located on the Interstate 35 access road near South Zarzamora Street. SAPD officers were asked to assist the FBI with the arrest.

According to reporting from WKMG, Florez-Perez is connected to a case that initially involved a body found on Thanksgiving Day in Kissimmee, Florida. Upon further investigation, Kissimmee Police Department detectives later declared Florez-Perez as a suspect in this case.

Upon his arrest, authorities said Florez-Perez first told SAPD and other agencies his name was “Ernesto” but later admitted that “Romeo” was his actual first name.

After his Dec. 6 arrest in San Antonio, Florez-Perez was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center where he awaits extradition to Osceola County, Florida.
