Woman released on bond after chase ending in Alamo Quarry Market parking lot

Audrey Marie Schneider, 37, faces several charges, including DWI

SAN ANTONIO – A woman who was arrested after leading San Antonio police and state troopers on a chase ending in the Alamo Quarry Market parking lot was released on bond on Tuesday afternoon.

Audrey Marie Schneider, 37, was arrested after leading Department of Public Safety troopers and San Antonio police officers on a vehicle chase that started in New Braunfels.

Schneider’s bond was previously set at $305,000; however, a judge lowered them to just over $100,000 on Tuesday morning.

Schneider was ordered to go to the hospital for evaluation before attending a treatment facility after she was released.

The judge ordered Schneider to undergo partial GPS monitoring. After finishing her treatment, Schneider would be under full house arrest and be barred from driving or possessing a firearm.

Schneider was arrested after the chase ended in the parking lot. She was accused of assaulting an officer and driving while intoxicated.

Video footage from the parking lot showed Schneider driving erratically and hitting several vehicles.

At one point, she was seen with a drink in her hand. When deputies searched Schneider’s vehicle, a photograph taken by a witness showed multiple alcoholic beverages in the SUV.

During a scuffle with DPS troopers at the scene, Schneider hit a one of them in the face.

In 2017, Schneider faced a charge of obstruction of a highway while intoxicated, according to court records.

The charge was later dismissed due to her being granted deferred adjudication, records show.
