2 men found dead in home in south Bexar County

Relatives found the victims with gunshot wounds

SAN ANTONIO – The bodies of two men were found in a home Tuesday morning in south Bexar County, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to Deputy Johnny Garcia, a BCSO spokesman, concerned relatives forced their way into a home in the 15900 block of Martinez Street and found the men with gunshot wounds. The victims were in their 40s and 70s.

Garcia said a lot of weapons were found in the home, including the bedroom where the victims were located. Drug paraphernalia, including scales and packaging materials, were also found.

He said relatives last heard from the men on March 23. Deputies made a welfare call to the home on March 27 but they could not get into the home because a gate was locked. Deputies tried calling the home and tried to get the victims’ attention on a loudspeaker but got no response.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will make a ruling on the deaths and release the identity of the victims.
