SAN ANTONIO – A local developer has added another piece of prime Broadway land to its portfolio.

San Antonio-based real estate firm Harper/Huddleston Inc. has acquired the W.D. Deli property at 3123 Broadway and the adjacent parking lot, Bexar County records show. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the parcels have a combined assessed value of about $1.1 million, according to 2023 tax records.

The two pieces of land were previously owned by Houston-based Radom Capital, which acquired the property in 2022 after the longtime ownership retired. The restaurant itself has been in the hands of local proprietors Steve Clemens and Kelly Palubiak.

Harper/Huddleston has been on a Broadway buying spree in recent weeks, scooping up the Antiquarian Book Mart, Half Price Books and adjoining parking lot at 3217 and 3207 Broadway, as well as 3132 Avenue B. Those three tracts have a combined assessed value of $1.8 million. The group also owns properties on the other side, including the Finck Cigars building at 3111 Broadway.
