Tuesday’s snowfall marks the first measurable snowfall in nearly four years in San Antonio ❄️

Higher totals were found farther east, lower totals farther west

Tuesday's snowfall was the first measurable snowfall recorded in San Antonio since February 2021.

SAN ANTONIO – Snow in South Texas!

While totals were generally under an inch in San Antonio, it was just enough to make fun memories with the family and also cause some slick spots on area roadways.

The Alamo City officially recorded 0.10 of an inch of snow at the San Antonio International Airport, which makes Tuesday morning’s event the first measurable snowfall found since February 2021. Thankfully, this event was nothing compared to the multi-day deep freeze that we all remember nearly four years ago.

By the time all was said and done this go around, higher snowfall totals were generally found farther east, with just a light dusting at best farther west.

Here’s a look at official totals sent into the National Weather Service:

This snow event has now come to an end. Plenty of sunshine returns Tuesday afternoon, helping to quickly melt whatever accumulations were found as highs near 40 degrees. Another hard freeze is expected Wednesday morning with lows in the teens and 20s, but additional precipitation is *NOT* expected.
