One San Antonio immigration attorney is giving people an extreme warning of the impact of a new bill set to go into effect.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar joined Leading SA on Sunday morning to discuss various public safety issues, from local crime trends to New Year’s Eve DUI enforcement and the potential effects of Texas Senate Bill 4.

Senate Bill 4, recently enacted into law after being signed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, will give local law enforcement the authority to arrest people suspected of being in the country illegally. However, enforcing the law will be up to each law enforcement department.
