Nearby, a metal fence had been knocked down and another vehicle in the parking lot, an SUV, had sustained visible damage. It had a broken back window, big dents in its tail end and was left partially sitting on the sidewalk. Witnesses told police they saw the driver of the BMW climb out of his overturned car and leave the scene, heading toward Interstate 10. No one at the apartment complex was injured.
