His 31-plus-year career has blessed him with adventures all over the planet, creating content with cameras, microphones and guitars. Notable stops include the Amazon jungle in Peru, Saudi Arabia, London, Amsterdam, Hawaii, Guam, Canada, India, and dozens of cities across the United States.
He has interviewed literally thousands of people, telling their stories, sharing their music and celebrating life.
The television industry has honored him with 11 Emmy awards, 28 Emmy nominations, and 48 awards from the Associated Press, the Radio and Television News Directors Association, Walter Cronkite’s Best Of The West, and the James Beard Foundation.
Mark sprouted in Minnesota and is a branded Vikings fan and experienced hunter and outdoorsman. He now lives in the San Antonio area, caring for his parents and serving you, the KSAT viewing family.
