SAN ANTONIO – The UIL high school girls' basketball playoffs are into the second round, and on Thursday, Northside Sports Gym hosted an area-round doubleheader.
In the first game, the Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies were propelled to victory thanks to their three ball — defeating La Vernia 56-35 in the Class 4A Division I Area Round.

McCollum and Cedar Park followed in a Class 5A Division II Area Round clash. The Timberwolves defeated the Cowboys 64-36 to advance to the regional semifinals.
