SAN ANTONIO – It’s the end of an era for the Reagan football program as the Rattlers’ say goodbye to Lyndon Hamilton, affectionately known as Coach Ham.
Coach Ham is stepping down as head coach and athletic coordinator after an impressive eight seasons in the role. His tenure with the program spans 12 years, and Hamilton has dedicated 19 years to the district overall.

“This is an amazing, amazing place,” Hamilton shared with KSAT. “The Stone Oak community has been nothing but a blessing to my wife and I. My two sons graduated from Reagan High School. They’ll be striking their entire life as well. Once a rattler, always a rattler. But, man, we are pumped up and ready to go.”
The decision to step down comes as Coach Ham accepted the opportunity to become the head coach and athletic director at Gonzales High School — a community close to where Hamilton grew up in Luling.
