“While we are sad to see him leave Boerne High School, we are immensely proud of the legacy he leaves behind and grateful for the incredible impact he has had on our community,” the post said.
According to Dave Campell’s Texas Football, Hendrix has taken on the role of senior defensive analyst at the University of Arkansas. He’ll reportedly be working closely with nickelbacks.
The Boerne ISD athletic department acknowledged Hendrix’s impact on the school’s football program as they search for the next head coach and athletic coordinator.
In Hendrix’s seven-year stint as the head coach of the Boerne Greyhounds, he tallied 69 wins and 21 losses, according to MaxPreps.
In 2022, Hendrix led Boerne High School to the UIL Class 4A Division I State Championship game, where they fell to China Spring in a nail-biter.
The Boerne Greyhounds are coming off a deep run in the UIL Class 5A Division II playoffs, where they ultimately fell to Richmond Randle High School in the state semifinals.
