SAN ANTONIO – Meet Instant Replay’s newest Scholar Athlete of the Week: Nathaniel Deluna-Gonzales of Harlandale High School.
Nathaniel is a three-year member of the varsity football team. He’s the president of the National Technical Honor Society, a member of the National Honor Society, the Student Council, the Business Professionals of America and is the Class President. He maintains a 3.9 GPA and is ranked thirteenth in his class. Nathaniel plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station and become a Radiologist.
WHAT MEMORIES DO YOU TAKE AWAY WITH YOU AS YOU LEAVE HIGH SCHOOL?
“Some of my favorite memories are being on the football field with my brothers and spending time with my family. Also getting my work done in school and trying my best to get ready for the next step in my life which is college.”
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS ON HOW TO BALANCE ACADEMICS AND ATHLETICS?
“Be responsible with your time, don’t take it for granted because these four years will fly by.”
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER YOU GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL?
“I plan to go to Texas A&M University in College Station and pursue a degree in Pre-Med which will pave the way to becoming a Radiologist.”
WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR PARENTS OR TEACHERS OR COACHES?
“I want to thank my parents for pushing me to be who I am today. They want me to be my best and work hard and I wouldn’t be here without you both.”
