San Antonio – The San Antonio Fire Department is showing off its Spurs Spirit, and raising money at the same time.
The SAFD showed off new t-shirts, that firefighters will be allowed to wear on duty throughout the NBA Finals, and any subsequent victory celebrations. The shirts are black, and the back of each shirt is emblazoned with a basketball, and reads 'SAFD We Can Handle Heat.'

Shirts are on sale for $15 each. They can be purchased Monday through Friday, 8 a.m-4 p.m. at the SAFD Union Hall, located at 8925 IH-10 West.
Proceeds will go to families of the Houston firefighters who died or were wounded in the May 31 motel fire there.
SAFD Firefighter Richard Trevino, a member of the department's HAZMAT team based at Fire Station 1, had the idea for the t-shirts.
