Missing 14-year-old girl located, man detained in connection to her disappearance, BCSO says

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is thanking the public for helping locate a missing 14-year-old girl who was last seen in northwest Bexar County.

Authorities said Nathaniel Edward Gonzales, 24, has been detained for questioning on Saturday night.

Ramona Shanti Armstrong was reported missing after being last seen around 3:45 a.m. Saturday reportedly being picked up by an “unknown male” in the 7600 block of Barhill Post.

Authorities tracked Ramona’s phone and was found abandoned, according to the sheriff’s office.

BCSO said Gonzales was considered to be a person of interest and they would like to speak with him regarding any information on the case.

On Saturday night, an AMBER Alert notification was issued calling Gonzales a suspect. However, BCSO took to Facebook to say he was not considered a suspect at the time.
