BCSO searching for missing 16-year-old girl last seen in west Bexar County

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl who was last seen in west Bexar County.

Maya Nicolson was last seen on Sunday around 2 a.m. in the 12900 block of Azan Height, south of Potranco Road and west of Loop 1604.

She was wearing a green T-shirt, denim blue jeans, a brown belt, and carrying a green backpack.

Maya is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities have noted that Maya does not have a vehicle or her phone with her.

Anyone with information regarding Maya’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at 210-335-6000. The public can also email the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at missingpersons@bexar.org.

The sheriff’s office reminds the public that harboring a runaway is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.
