Crayola revives nostalgic colors in limited-edition crayon pack

For the first time in company history, Crayola is bringing back a retired crayon color collection.

The company, which has been open for 122 years, is bringing back fan-favorite colors that will bring nostalgia to users.

The colors and their retired dates are:

  • Dandelion-2017
  • Blizzard Blue-2003
  • Magic Mint-2003
  • Mulberry-2003
  • Orange Red-1990
  • Violet Blue-1990
  • Lemon Yellow-1990
  • Raw Umber-1990

According to a release from Crayola, the decision to bring back this limited-edition crayon pack comes after an outpour of requests from crayon users over the years.

Aside from the crayon pack, Crayola will also have limited edition collection colored pencil packs and marker packs in the eight colors.

“Color has such a personal connection for kids of all ages. It plays a pivotal role in inspiring creativity, which is an integral catalyst for educational, emotional and cognitive growth,” said Victoria Lozano, Chief Marketing Officer at Crayola.
