According to the district’s website, 68% of staff, parents and students surveyed said they support a four-day school week.

“The primary reasons the district is considering a shorter school week are to retain and attract quality teachers and staff and provide quality instruction for students, boost student well-being, and maintain strong student and staff attendance,” said a district official in an email to KSAT.

A final calendar option will be presented to the Board of Trustees on March 3.

At that meeting, district officials will either approve the proposed four-day week or reject it.
