Suspect arrested in connection with road rage shooting, BCSO says

Alberto Rodriguez charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and endangering a child

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Deputies arrested a suspect on Wednesday in connection with a road rage shooting in south Bexar County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Alberto Rodriguez, 41, is accused of shooting another man after an altercation on Jan. 25 along U.S. Highway 281 southbound.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the man attempted to escape from Rodriguez, but he was followed to Martinez-Losoya Road.

The man eventually crashed into a fence near Southside High School, and Rodriguez then shot him once, according to BCSO.

Deputies said the victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rodriguez was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and endangering a child charges, the sheriff’s office said.
