SAN ANTONIO – The City of San Antonio is gearing up for the Final Four.
On Tuesday, the NCAA, San Antonio Local Organizing Committee, San Antonio Sports and the City of San Antonio released more details about Final Four weekend and championship game. Watch their remarks in the video player above.
The Final Four is scheduled for April 5 and April 7 at the Alamodome.
Here’s what to know:
- NEW TIPOFF TIME: The championship game on Monday, April 7, will tip off at 7:50 p.m. — 30 minutes earlier than previously scheduled.
- FREE MUSIC FEST: The NCAA March Madness Music Festival will be held Friday, April 4; Saturday, April 5; and Sunday, April 6 at Tower Park at Hemisfair.
- PERFORMERS: Headliners for the NCAA March Madness Music Festival were not announced on Tuesday. The performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
- FREE WATCH PARTIES: The Men’s Final Four Tip-Off Tailgate, presented by Nissan, will be held daily from April 4-7 at Civic Park. The event includes watch parties, giveaways, activities and more. The event is free to attend.
- SCORE FREE FAN FEST TICKETS: The NCAA Men’s Final Four Fan Fest Presented by Capital One will be held April 4-7 at the Henry B. González Convention Center. It will include interactive games, celebrity appearances, and autograph sessions. The first 1,500 people to visit this link and use the code TIPOFF25 can get free tickets to the event.
- CONSTRUCTION: City Manager Erik Walsh said, “Progress is painful.” Walsh did not provide an updated timeline on the construction taking place around downtown San Antonio. He did say that city crews are continuing to work on those areas, and the goal is to make the upgrades beneficial for visitors and travelers.
- WATCH FOR FREE: Basketball fans who don’t have tickets to the semifinal games or championship can still watch the teams practice at the Reese’s Men’s Final Four Friday at the Alamodome on April 4. The open practices are free to attend.

The 2025 NCAA Men’s Final Four will mark San Antonio’s fifth time hosting the event.
“Our city thrives on hosting world-class events,” Walsh said. “The 2025 Men’s Final Four will not only bring excitement to basketball fans but also create lasting impacts through community initiatives and economic contributions. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to San Antonio.”
The event is expected to generate over $440 million in economic impact for San Antonio.
Dan Gavitt, NCAA senior vice president of basketball, said, “The NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners contribute significantly to the success of the Men’s Final Four by providing cost-friendly activities for people of all ages.”
“One of the many great things about the Men’s Final Four is you don’t have to have a ticket to the games to be able to get in on the fun. The TNT Sports Live Events team works with our staff to ensure that everyone who visits San Antonio during Final Four weekend will have a terrific time with numerous events in the area,” he added.
