BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A murder trial begins Wednesday for a man accused of shooting and killing another man in 2022.
Jcoery Smith is accused of killing 31-year-old Roger Allen on June 20, 2022, at a home on Moon Rock near Wagner High School.
According to sheriff’s deputies, Smith called 911 and said he shot Allen after getting into an argument. He was charged in connection to Allen’s death 10 months later.
At the time of the shooting, Smith was 19 years old. If found guilty of murder, he faces up to life in prison.
