Activists rally downtown to protest against President-elect Donald Trump

Protesters expressed opposition to Trump’s policies

SAN ANTONIO – Around 75 people gathered on Sunday in front of a federal building in downtown San Antonio to protest against the incoming Donald Trump Administration.

Organizers from the Party for Socialism and Liberation said they wanted to join in on efforts from other activists protesting around the country ahead of Monday’s inauguration ceremony.

Protestors yelled chants saying they oppose U.S. aid for Israel, anti-abortion legislative efforts around the country, and anti-immigration policy and rhetoric from Trump.

“We’re not going to let them continue to scapegoat immigrant communities for every issue that plagues the country,” said one PSL organizer, Jose Menendez. " We need to find an organization in which we can all fight as a collective. And that’s what we’re trying to promote."
